John Sweemer is painting a series of pieces with Cary themes. This is his newest painting "A Moment on the Greenway" capturing a sunlit stream in Pirates Cove in Cary, NC.
John is 90 years old, paints prolifically and walks four miles a day. That's why he looks 70 in this picture.

John Sweemer, "Brushes Old and New" Watercolor
"This is my fourth brush painting. Old, favorite brushes are like old-time friends. You know how they behave and what they can do. One of them (4th. from the right) had been my friend for over 25 years. It has synthetic hair and has a nice “snap” to it. I use it for large skies and water areas in my marine paintings."
